Background
Welcome to our Directory of Supports and Services for Survivors and
Affected Persons. We hope you find this to be a helpful tool for all of those who are seeking clear, practical information on supports and services. This Directory was developed in response to a lack of up-to-date and factual information for Survivors. This is a recurring issue raised by Survivors with the Special Advocate office.
What is Featured in this Directory

Affected Persons in understanding their rights and options and in
having their voices heard. This may include collective advocacy,

and assistance engaging with services or processes.

Practical and Issue-based Supports for Survivors

Persons address specific challenges that may arise due to their
lived experience or its ongoing impact. These supports may
include assistance with housing, health, finances, education, form
filling, or other everyday concerns.

Financial redress and Supports for Survivors
Redress related supports provide information and guidance on
redress schemes relating to institutional abuse, including both
schemes that are currently open for applications and those that
have closed. Organisations may offer practical assistance with
navigating applications and engagement with redress schemes.
