Finding resources you can trust

There are a wide range of supports and resources you may choose to engage with.

Checking the reliability of the sources you find and engage with is important to know they are trustworthy.

Tips for finding reliable resources

  • Websites that are referenced or connected to official regulatory bodies (eg, An Garda Síochána or the Mental Health Commission)
  • Reliable sources often cite references or provide links to the original research or studies.
  • Support groups or online forums have established communities and engaging administrators who foster a supportive culture.
